We are a teaching practice and you may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar or a foundation training doctor. These doctors are fully qualified and will have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing their specialist training as a GP at Mawbey Group Practice and their surgeries are always supervised by one of our Partners.
We also teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You may be asked to see the student first. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you can request for the student to leave if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
Occasionally we video consultations for training purposes. You will always be asked for your consent first. All videos will remain confidential and are only shared with other GP tutors. If you do not wish your consultation to be recorded, please tell us. This is not a problem and will not affect your consultation in any way.
