Personalised care

Every patient at Mawbey Group Practice has a named personal doctor who is ultimately responsible for their overall care.

You are of course free to chose any doctor you would like to see but we would encourage you to see your own personal GP, in order for to you receive medical care from someone who knows as much as possible about you and your health. If your doctor is not available another doctor will see you.

Our skills

All of our doctors are highly qualified and experienced in every aspect of family medicine. In addition, each has a his or her own specialist interest including child health, contraception, minor surgery, sickle cell anaemia and thalaessaemia, women’s health, diabetes, homeless medicine, drug- and alcohol misuse, sexual health and men’s health. We even have an expert on the history of medicine.

Your doctor will always make sure you benefit from the full range of expertise that Mawbey Group Practice can offer.

Our doctors are supported by a full healthcare team with experienced nurses, health care assistants, counselors, midwives, podiatrists and health visitors. Our commitment to learning

We train fully qualified doctors to become specialist GPs and these capable young doctors usually make sure to keep us on our toes in return.

Mawbey Group Practice has been serving the local community for almost thirty years. We are excited to be directly affected by the rapid redevelopment of the Nine Elms and Vauxhall Regeneration and look forward to the changes this will bring.

GP Earnings

The practice is responsible for publishing their earnings by 31st March 2022 in respect of earnings for 2020/21. All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g average pay) for GPs working to deliver NHS Services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Mawbey Group Practice in the last financial year was £72,106 before tax & National Insurance. This is for 3 full time GPs & 2 part time GPs who worked in the practice for more than six months.

Disclaimer :

NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown above.  However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earning is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
