Health catch up

If you are born or lived abroad you are entitled to free blood test. Please visit https://www.healthcatchup.org.uk/ or call surgery on 0207 411 5720.

Nurse Services

Our nurses can provide help and advice with any of the following:

  • Asthma
  • Baby immunisations
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Blood tests
  • Chronic disease management
  • Contraceptive advice
  • Diabetes
  • Dietary advice

  • Dressings and wound care
  • Ear syringing
  • General health information and advice
  • Sexual Health Advice and Screening
  • Smoking cessation
  • Smear tests
  • Travel advice & immunisations  (TEMPORARILY UNAVAILABLE)


Health Check

We encourage all newly registering patients to have a health check with one of our nurses or our Healthcare Assistant. A health check usually includes checking your weight, height and blood pressure but also screening tests for diabetes, sickle cell disease, thalaessaemia, HIV and sexually transmitted infections.  We can offer all patients a health check with a nurse every 3 years on request.


Interpreter

With sufficient notice we can arrange interpreters for other languages if needed. Please ask our receptionist for details.


Counsellors

We offer a counselling service in this practice. If you think this may be of help to you, please ask your doctor or nurse for advice.


Psychologist

Your nurse or doctor can refer you to a psychologist, please ask your GP for advice.

Sexual Health and Safer Sex

You can see a nurse or your doctor to discuss contraception and options for safer sex, including for under 16’s. For more Sexual Health information please click here.


Minor Surgery

We can perform a number of minor surgical procedures in the surgery, including joint injections for rheumatological conditions. Please note though that we will always have to assess you first to decide whether we can perform your procedure here or whether we need to refer you elsewhere.


Well Baby Clinic

The health visitors baby clinic is held every Monday afternoon between 1.30 and 3.30pm. You can have your baby weighed and discuss any concerns with the health visitor. You don’t need an appointment for this clinic.


Well Woman Checks and Cervical Smears

Cervical smears are recommended every three years, unless you have been advised differently.
